Yves Van Loy - Participant 2021-2022

“Thanks to the Prince Albert Fund, I became more independent and also learned how to focus on client needs.”

Yves was responsible for deploying and scaling the Hashting Solution’s business in Latin America with the goal of setting-up a network of self-sustaining facilities across the region, starting from Mexico.

The project consisted of distinct phases such as proving product-market fit, assessing relevant LATAM countries, starting up commercial operations, and building scalable best practices. For Yves, launching the company’s commercial operations meant finding the right country managers and onboarding them. The last phase consisted of increasing the company’s efficiency by creating legal entities, setting up commercial benchmarks, etc.

How he benefited

The Prince Albert Fund allowed Yves to grow from someone with an entrepreneurial dream into someone capable of building an organization in a responsible and sustainable way. Building the business and achieving results, while starting from his talents and preferred way of working, gave him tremendous freedom. “I was able to build a complementary team with relevant experience but mainly based on personality and drive”, he says.

The company – Hashting Solutions

Hashting Solutions is a smart MarTech (Marketing Technology) platform for consumer brands, building direct links between consumer and brands in any type of retail interface. The company, founded in Belgium, started out as a platform for digital promotional coupons. Hashting now has a presence in 15 countries, offering services to more than 100 major clients such as Coca-Cola, Heineken, Unilever, Danone, etc. It aims to become the global leader in this industry with a focus on digital customer journey management.

Yves was the perfect match for us. With his background in fast-moving consumer goods and experience in the scaleup scene, he was able to bridge the cultural difference between our clients and the type of local partners that we are looking for.”
